The guide

The easiest way
to reach the mountains.

The road: what to expect

Cortina d’Ampezzo is about 150 km from Venice Marco Polo Airport. The route follows the A27 motorway towards Belluno, then the SS51 Alemagna road through the Cadore valleys. Without stops and in normal traffic it takes around 2 hours. Journey times from Treviso Airport are similar.

In winter the drive can take longer: snow, peak-season weekends and especially Saturdays, when many hotels and apartments change guests, all add traffic on the way to the mountains.

Why choose a private transfer

After a flight, the most comfortable thing is to get into a car and arrive straight at your destination. With a private transfer your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, loads your luggage and drives you to the door of your hotel or chalet: no changes, no timetables, no suitcases to drag around.

How it works with Elite Private Transfer

  • Flight monitoring: if your flight is delayed, your chauffeur already knows; 60 minutes of waiting from actual landing are included.
  • Mercedes-Benz V-Class: up to 7 passengers and 10 suitcases, with room for skis and snowboards.
  • Ready for winter: our V-Class travels with the winter equipment required on mountain roads.
  • Price per vehicle, confirmed in writing before you book.
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the service.
  • Child seats on request.

Travel tips

  • In high season, if you can, avoid arriving on a Saturday afternoon, changeover day for many properties.
  • Send us your accommodation’s full address: some properties are outside the town centre.
  • Mention skis, snowboards, pushchairs or bulky luggage in your enquiry.
  • For your return to the airport we agree a departure time with a sensible margin, especially if it is snowing.
